My name is Matthew Williams. I am a resourceful, energetic and reliable individual who always strives to attain my goals. I have a broad range of experiences and skills gained through student journalism (Impact Magazine and The Times), teaching in an non-governmental organisation in Uganda, social media work with Aegis Trust and Futureboard Consulting, and working within an office at Tullow Oil (Africa’s largest independent oil company) while also being a freelance writer and blogger. I am a graduate from Nottingham University with BA Honors in ‘History and Ancient History’ and have MA Honors in ‘Conflict, Security and Development’ from King’s College London.
Twenty-three years of age, a keen sportsman (including stints in football, rowing, gym and cycling) and aiming to work in a non-governmental organisation and/or journalism I hope the Conflict Archives will interest viewers who are interested in international politics of the Middle East and Africa as well as conflict, extremism, crisis, development and history.
